Well Saturdays my day off laying, there are selections but will not go onto the tally. For people who dont know i count Saturday as a no bet day, as the races are to competive and any horse can win.

7 Day Review Thursday to Thursday

Funny kind of week i let the place system go live and it falls flat on its face. Funny i monitored it today with a few added filters and bingo 3 out 3 upto now and one to go tonight, just bloody shows you.

Well back to the laying and a nice profit for the week +13.61 which isnt bad for free so we are well over the 20 point target so lets hope it keeps up and we end the 28 day period well in profit

Sunday there will be no selections i have no internet connections, so a day off.

Looks like we have cold weather ahead next week hope it does not affect the racing but cannot see it :)

Example first bet 50 on a 2.0 in the place market wins you get 100 less comms back you then bet on the next selection with 10% of your new bank

A Few little bits i have added

Right firstly i have added a chat widget. This can be used for instant messaging, so if you want to have a chat about the GGs feel free when i am around :)
I have also added a Paypal button this is not for paying for selections now, it will be up and running by the 1st of March. This will be the fee of 20 GDP this will be a norminal fee for me getting up very early sort out the lays.

As from Tuesday i will be adding the Place backing system to the blog. As i have said before paper trade to begin with until you feel it works for you

Update on the place system test

Sorry i have not been able to post the place system tests, but these were the selection from Saturday

This will be going live on Tuesday

The rules of the system are as follows:

1) If there less than 8 runners it will classed as i NO bet
2) Less than 1.40 in the place market NO bet
3)Using a starting bank you bet 10% of it on every bet so if you start with a 500 pound bank your first bet would be 50 pound, if the horse wins you then bet 10% of your new bank.

7 Day Review Thursday to Thursday

Well not a bad 7 days but the heart has been in the mouth many times, and again we have hit the crossbar. Right down to figures Thursday pulled us right back into to it with 12 winning lays.
So on the 7 days we made 6.69 points profit.

So the blog has been going 14 days and winning points after 14 days is 18.94.

Tonight was a wash out at Wolves but we will get that back imo.

Saturday a no bet day for me but i will post up the selections in the morning, they will not count towards the points total. See what you think with them

Right on to the place betting system, i have decided that i am only going to be able to post the selection 3 days a week Tuesday, Weds and Thursday as i have work commitments on the other days. So Tuesday will be the starting point. First signs are very good solets hope we get the same results as the tests that i have done, and we all make a nice profit.

I have been asked a few question about BF SPs and i would say soon as the selections are on the blog lay them, as you would be insane to take BF SPs, lay prices are better the earlier you can get them, that is only my opinion. But i will remain using BF SPs for data collection only.
Also another point is to papertrade the selections for a few weeks before you put money down its always good to get a feel for the lays and how i select them.

7 Days ahead

Lets hope the weather is ok for the week ahead, i hear reports of snow coming our way i hope not
I have been looking at the decs for the coming days and it looks like we have a week to savour.

So i hope the weather stays ok and racing goes ahead and there will be plenty of lays to be had.

I hope you are all enjoying the selections i have been posting up over the past week or so ??

My aim is to make 20 points a month, which by anybodys standard laying wise is not bad, what people have got to understand with laying is it sometimes two steps forward and one step back. Once you grasp that its plain saling lol.

But in the coming weeks you will begin to see how i lay horses and what i tend to go for and why, i do use ratings to help me make the selections.

There are many laying services out there, but i reckon most are not very good at all, so why try this one ??? to be honest i lay all the selections that i put up on the blog so why would i point anybody in the wrong direction??

Anyway thats me for now back to the study and lets look forward to the next 7 days an some nice profit

*IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*

Hi all,

I have decided to extended the free selections until the 1st March 2009.

A lot of people have been asking me do i have any back data for my selections, the answer in a nutshell is no.
So in order for people to get a feel for the results i have extended the free trial by another 4 weeks, this way there will around 7 weeks of results to go off. Although this is not a great deal to go off, it will be enough to give you a feel for my selections.

I am also having to delay the place backing system until 26/1/09 due to work commitments.

I hope this is ok ??? if anybody has any questions please e - mail me and i will answer any questions you may have.

Just a quick note to say where we are up to after the first 7 days of the blog.

Well the 1st 7 days have created a profit of 12.25 points from the laying selections.

To be honest it has been a tough week and a lot of work has been done, the weather has not helped us at all, but i am happy to come through it with a nice profit.

So its onwards and upwards and i am planning for the next 7 days.

It will be very interesting to get the Place backing system on the blog, with some nice results with the new filters from last night.

Lashing down here in Manchester, ( For a change ) but at least the frost has gone and we have so jump racing to go at. Saying that not the greatest action at Folkstone.
But we do have some better action by the end of the week.

Just a little bit about my thoughts laying horses, over years trends seem to emerge like which days are better and which days to avoid. Well my worst day is usually Saturday, so in my wisdom i will not be laying horeses on this day. I hear you say is this man mad lol. But will still post the selections on the blog for you to lay.

Maths was never my strong point but as you can see the potential is there for three selections being places a nice profit of around £264.00 for a nice days work.
By compounding winnings the profit does increase at a faster rate of knots. I tested this system out through the month of December and was very suprised with what the figures ened up after a two week period.
The good thing is that when you do hit a few losers It is not to long before the profit begins to come back in. The only draw back is that you are backing at very tight odds.
But profit is what we are after.
What i also found was to get the price whilst you can and do not rely on BF sps as they do tend to be shorter as the day goes on.

The Backing place system

As from a week on Monday i will be posting up selections for place backing system.

This system is going well but still in it infancy.

The rules of the system that i have been using, is because there are a few low priced horses, i will compounding my winings by 10% each bet, this soon builds up into a nice bank.

So for recording purposes i will be using a £1000.00 bank so my first bet will be £100.

I will update the blog when i start to use the system. So look out for a WEEK ON MONDAY.

The two system will run side to side on the blog.So the laying one and the place backing will be post before dinner on most days.

I will be also starting a chat widget when i get time so anybody who wants a quick chat will be able to do so on the blog.
